Information for Au Pairs (to come to the U.K.)

Alternative information for U.K. residents to Au Pair in Europe.

You are a student, you wish to improve your English during your gap year whilst living and helping an English speaking family with their children and light housework.

What is an Au Pair?

You must be single, aged 18 to 27, without dependant, and a national from a country currently approved by the UK immigration and with some English.

Duties

In exchange for hospitality you will help with children and housework for 25 hours per week plus 2 evenings babysitting. We do not recommend the Au Pair formula for people who do not have experience with children or who do not like housework!

Pocket Money

£55.00 minimum for 25 hours per week. Candidates from the European Union can work more hours for more money.

Seasons

The best time is September for the academic year in order to enroll with English classes. The minimum stay is 6 months, the maximum is 2 years.

Free Time

Our Au Pairs receive 2 days off per week (week-end usually); a few hours during the day to attend classes.

Area

Our families live in and around London. Families live in areas and towns where English classes are available.

Classes

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes are available in colleges or private schools for 6 hours or more per week. You will take a test to establish your level. The cost varies; the average is £200 per term.

How to Apply
